For the finance profession, the broader economic environment will inevitably have profound implications. Yet, we also see that the country's ‘dual carbon’ strategy and digitalisation initiatives are shaping new directions for the profession, opening unprecedented opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship. Global recognition means that Chinese businesses will have broader prospects for future collaborations and investments. Against this backdrop, professional accountants increasingly need to adopt a long-term perspective, actively transform and upgrade, prioritise value creation, in order to ensure competitiveness and vitality in a rapidly changing economic landscape.
