Background

ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a globally recognized professional accounting body, has been committed to advancing the global accounting profession and nurturing accounting talents adaptable to the times since its establishment in 1904. Its members and future members span over 180 countries and regions.

Since entering Hong Kong in 1950 and the Chinese mainland in 1988, ACCA has been deeply involved in the market-oriented reform and internationalization of China's accounting industry. This includes taking the lead in introducing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to China, helping local enterprises enhance their competitiveness in global capital markets; cultivating nearly 30,000 certified members and over 100,000 students and in-service learners; building an ecosystem connecting over 8,000+ global employers, more than 500 domestic employers with accounting elites; and relying on global think tank resources and local practical experience to continuously conduct in-depth research on the accounting industry, providing intellectual support for policy-making and corporate decision-making.

Based on global industry insights and accumulated Chinese practices, ACCA will grandly launch the "Annual Excellence Awards for Value Creation" in 2026. Aimed at discovering innovative achievements of financial departments in key areas such as digital and intelligent transformation and ESG practices through authoritative evaluation mechanisms and benchmark case dissemination, it will leverage ACCA's global influence and local Chinese resources to promote the upgrading of the accounting function from a "calculation center" to a "value engine" and lead the sustainable development of the industry.

Excellence in Digital and Intelligent Transformation

Recognizes enterprises that have significantly improved financial management efficiency, optimized decision-making processes, and enhanced risk control capabilities through innovative application of cutting-edge technologies in promoting digital and intelligent transformation of corporate finance, thereby creating significant financial and social value for the enterprise.

Excellence in ESG Practice and Innovation

Recognizes enterprises that have created long-term financial and social value in promoting environmental, social, and governance practices and innovation.

Excellence in Business-Finance Integration Innovation

Recognizes enterprises that have significantly empowered value creation and protection through promoting in-depth integration of business and finance with innovative means and methods.

Excellence in Talent Development

Recognizes enterprises that have demonstrated outstanding strategic vision and innovative practices in talent development, and successfully cultivated elites talent capable of supporting the implementation of key corporate strategies through systematic and forward-looking talent development strategies.

Excellence in Globalization Leadership

Recognizes enterprises that have effectively promoted global layout, risk management, capital optimization, and value creation through excellent financial management and innovative strategies in advancing their internationalization process.

Selection Process & Timeline

Registration: By 16 Jan 2026 Companies register to participate

Preliminary Evaluation: Jan-Feb 2026 Judges score and select outstanding companies

Secondary Evaluation: Mar-Apr 2026 On-site visits and research of shortlisted companies

Final Evaluation: Apr 2026 Finalize the list of award winners

Award Ceremony: Oct/Nov 2026 Ceremony and case study release

Application

Eligible Participants

Teams or organizations that have demonstrated outstanding contributions in at least one of the following five areas: digital and intelligent transformation, international expansion, business-finance integration innovation, ESG practices, and financial talent development.

Application Materials

Application materials must include the following:

Corporate overall operations, value potential, and sustainable development capabilities
How the finance function contributes to the company’s core vision
1–3 most notable quantified value achievements
A successful case aligned with the assessment evaluation of the applied award category
